 receives last letter from her friend and mentor, Francis
 and grieves over his subsequent death at the age of 33
 becomes a correspondent at the age of 41
 sends sisters throughout Europe at the age of 42
 repels an invading army in Assisi at the age of 47
 is a writer of a Rule at the age of 54
 is deathly ill at the age of 57
 has her Rule approved at the age of 59 (on her deathbed!)
 has a miraculous liturgical experience at the age of 59
 is dead at the age of 60
 is canonized a saint only 2 years after her death
